In order to better know the operation of our customers' machines, to solve their problems and to seek deeper co-operation, we went to Peru and Colombia in September to visit some of our customers.
We firstly visited our regular customers in Callao and Lima, such as Selfie, who bought our 5L water bottling line, and Tabernero, who bought our carbonated drinks bottling line. We visited their factories to get to know their actual production situation and to solve some production problems they had raised. We also met with several potential customers in Lima to discuss quotations and cooperation for future cooperation. They also appreciated our special visit, which was made in good faith. In this way, we were also introduced to other interested customers and were given a tour of their factory.
After that we took a flight to visit specially the OME factory for Cielo Water in Arequipa, which is more than 700 kilometres away from Lima. They have two of our production lines, a 7,000BPH PET water filling line and a 10,000BPH PET carbonated drink filling line. The customer expressed his satisfaction with the operation of our machines and his willingness to continue working with us.
Of course, maintaining existing customers through visits is far from enough. If we want to be a good salesperson, we must also actively develop new customers, and the exhibition is a good platform for this. Today, exhibitions are no longer simply places to display products, promote products, and purchase goods. The modern exhibitions have rapidly developed into centers for communication and information acquisition. Participating in exhibitions has also become an important part of the entire market development work of enterprises, and a great opportunity to promote and publicize company brands and demonstrate corporate strength and image.
For this reason, on the basis of our participation in Andiapack last year, we continued this year with Colombiaplast, an industrial exhibition with a long history. After our visit to Peru, we flew to Bogota, Colombia for the five-day Colombiaplast exhibition, which was held in Corferias from 23rd to 27th September. At the exhibition, we met customers from various South American countries such as Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, and many more. We were able to meet face to face with some of the invited customers in order to reach a co-operation, as well as to discuss new projects with some new potential customers. Among them was the OEM factory for OMI, the customer expressed his interest in our machines. After the exhibition, we actively contacted the customer and got good feedback.
These face-to-face exchanges deepen the customer's trust in our company and our products, shorten the negotiation cycle, solve some problems that can't be clearly stated in phone calls, emails and text messages, and at the same time allow our company to know more about the local market, and be able to provide our customers with quotes that are more suitable for the market.
