1. The three axes

2. Filler tiers

Gravity fills thin liquids (some cleaners, rinse aids) at the lowest cost; piston meters viscous products (shampoo, gel detergents) reliably; load-cell weighs expensive or declared products. Most home-care plants run a range of viscosities — the filler is matched to the product family, or the line is split into two fillers for thin and thick.

Viscosity also sets the product path: larger valves and dosing for thick products, gentle handling for foaming ones.

3. The materials spec

Detergents and cleaners attack ordinary elastomers and some plastics — the wetted parts must be rated for the specific chemistry. This is a materials specification made with the product list and the safety data, and it is where a cheap line fails first: seals swell, valves leak, and the saving becomes a rebuild.

4. Foam control
