1. The water source

2. Water treatment

Treatment is designed around the source and the product: filtration, softening or demineralisation to the target profile, disinfection, and polishing before the filler. The system is sized on the line output and the source quality — and in monsoon climates the seasonal swings in turbidity and mineral load are part of the design basis, not an afterthought.

The treatment is the station buyers most often under-budget, because it is invisible in photos and everything downstream depends on it.

3. The tropical climate

High humidity and heat affect the plant: storage conditions, packaging materials, cooling loads and the machine's environmental spec are all design inputs. 5. Packaging decisions

PET small formats carry the urban retail volume, with larger formats and multipacks following the local shelf. Each package is a line decision — the filler, the capper and the packing follow the bottle and the pack. Confirm the retail format with distributors before the line is quoted, because the machine follows the package.

Preform and cap supply is an ongoing cost: confirm local suppliers or budget the import. The line is only as reliable as its consumables.

6. Logistics and distribution

Distribution in Southeast Asia mixes dense urban markets with island and long-distance routes — the distribution plan decides the pack and the route-to-market. For the equipment itself, the import leg (port, clearance, inland trucking) is planned with the supplier and a local agent, with the region's dense freight making the ocean leg short and frequent.

7. Staffing and commissioning

A line needs operators, a technician and a QC person, trained before the line arrives. Site readiness (hall, utilities, climate control) is the buyer's job; confirm it before the technician travels.
